needs of engineering in Nepal

Nepal is one of the smallest country of the world. It occupies 0.03 %of  total land of the earth and o.3% of Asia.  Nepal is under developed country and declared to upgrade in 2019 but due to the certain circumstances ,Nepal is going to declared developing country only in 2023 .
Nepal lies in the lap of the Himalayas. Its 87.5%(approx.) covered by the mountain and hilly region and remaining part by Terai region . Due to most of the hilly and and mountainous region it is difficult to construct the project.

Engineering jobs are the most soughed out and secured jobs in Nepal. There is a huge inflow of students who study engineering each year. There are a lot of developmental activities to be carried out in the country which make the scope even wider. As every field has opportunity and it should be the one who make a scope, it all depends on your interest which field you want to pursue. The most common and popular engineering fields in Nepal are civil, computer, electrical and architecture. There are many infrastructural developments work to be done in Nepal and also the use of computer in every field has increased the scope of civil and computer and electrical engineering in Nepal. .

Does Nepal need engineers?”

The answer is a big yes.
1. The preponderance of rapid construction works going on in Nepal only means that there is and will be a lot of demand for civil engineers.
2. If things do not go wrong because of unforeseen events of natural disasters or war, God forbid, Nepal should expect a huge amount of infrastructural development in the next two decades. Bridges, buildings, railways and highways. That again demands engineers.
3. The information sector is growing rapidly as well. I do not even need to justify this. If you are a computer engineer, you’ll never battle with the “scope” question. You want a job? You’ll get a job! You just need to know your stuff.
Why engineering education is needed?
In the global economy of the 21st Century, engineers play a key role in overall economic development for countries and regions. In the well developed countries, the role of the engineer is well understood and utilized. In much of the developing world, however, the available pool of engineering talent is typically below critical mass – and economic development and even important basic societal needs that rely on engineering – such as clean water supply and sanitation – lack the technical talent to address them.
Technical capacity building efforts aim at developing a sufficient pool of well educated and certified engineering graduates in developing countries to effect three desirable outcomes:
Technical capability is needed for developing countries to engage effectively in the global economy; direct foreign investment, international trade, mobility of engineers, and the flow of work to countries with cost-effective talent will result.

indigenous science and technology capacity is needed to insure that international aid funds are utilized effectively and efficiently – for initial project implementation, for long-term operation and maintenance, and for the development of capacity to do future projects.

In order to stimulate job formation in developing countries, a technical workforce pool is needed, made up of people who are specifically educated and prepared to engage in entrepreneurial startup efforts that meet local needs
